How to publish ARCH datasets to archive.org

Overview

You may publish any ARCH dataset as a publicly accessible item on archive.org in order to share and cite it. Follow the instructions below to find the publishing feature, add descriptive metadata, and update dataset descriptions as needed.

Instructions

To publish a dataset, begin by navigating to its detail view from the datasets table in your collection or account:

Scroll down past the preview visualization to the Publishing heading and click the Publish button:

Add your preferred descriptive metadata values to the fields provided and leave others blank. Use the "+" button to add multiple values where needed. When you have finished adding metadata, click the Publish Now button to add your item to archive.org:

Once published, your dataset will inherit a unique ARK (Archival Resource Key) identifier and URL. Follow the URL to find your dataset on archive.org. You may click the (edit) option anytime to change and update the descriptive metadata associated with this item:
