Overview
The Internet Archive is pleased to release version 2.2 of the Archives Research Compute Hub (ARCH) for text and data mining. This version introduces support for new collection types, new datasets, and open source code for developers, as well as bug fixes and minor UI improvements. Browse the summaries below to learn more about each update and plans for future releases.
In this release:
Collections
- Added support for Vault collections
- Added initial support for the Wayback Machine collection
Datasets
- Added format-agnostic Extracted text dataset with optional named entity recognition
Open source code
- Released updates to public repositories for ARCH job server and Keystone web client
Bug fixes
- Fixed bug affecting downloads of legacy Chinese Named Entities dataset files
- Fixed bug affecting detail pages affected by dataset derivation errors
- Added debugging tools to backend dataset administration
Other improvements
- Create custom Archive-It collections by URL prefix
- Refreshed in-app categories and descriptions for all datasets
- Added Gephi Lite tutorial and updated Voyant tutorial for ARCH datasets
